Charlie pioneered the world famous Island X for Trophy King Eiders and Harlequin in the 90's. And has continually hunted and explored the Aleutian Islands and remote Alaska Peninsula by bushplane and boat. Capt Charlie is an accomplished Bushpilot with over 3500 hours flying small planes in remote Alaska along with averaging 180 days a year on the water running boats still guiding in the field.

And with a 100% success rate for the 08-09 season on Trophy King Eiders and Harlequin our guides and hunters are looking forward to another great year hunting Island-X, Adak Island and Cold Bay.
What to Bring/Expect in Alaska Duck hunting
The Alaska weather in Dec-January is nothing short of brutal many days,the average temperature is around 25-35above with a 10-15 mph wind, but it can range from 40'degrees to minus 5' and winds blowing 30-50 mph. This is why its called X-treme duck hunting, Our guides are some of the most X-Treme guides in the US and with hunting in these X-Treme conditions you will harvest Trophy birds that no one else hasthe oppurtunity to hunt in other locations in Alaska. You should bring a variety of outerwear to match. A Gore-Tex quad parka, or similar outer camouflage jacket is a good start along with fleece or wool layers to add or remove as needed. 5mm neopreme waders with1200-1600 gram insulated boots good gloves and hats and a dependable shotgun.we reccomend O/U or pump guns in 12 gauge and bring #2 high density loads of steel or t
ungsten bizmuth hybrid.
Alaska Sea Duck Hunting Dates
Sept 1-Oct 20 in Cold Bay for Brant,Geese and Pintails and Ptarmigan, while offering combo Salmon fishing and puddle duck, Sandhill Crane hunting from our main lodge on the Alagnak River. Week trips Starting at $3500 per hunter.
Nov 15-Jan 22 We operate the Aleutian Island Hunts for Pacific Eiders,Scoters,Harlequin,Oldsquaw and Eurasian vagrants including Eurasion widgeon and Aleutian Teal. Week trips run $3700 per hunter.
Dec 27-Jan 22 We operate Island -X Trophy King Eider Harlequin hunts with Oldsqauws and a few scoters thrown in. 6d hunts run $4200 per hunter.
100% return Policy on Trophy Hunts
Aleutian Island waterfowlers offers the only 100% return policy in Alaska,These hunts are very expensive and we feel each hunter should get the hunt of a lifetime. We are very confident in the quality of our hunts and our top locations that we can offer our hunters a chance to return to hunt with us for free if you do not have the oppurtunity to harvest a Trophy King Eider and Harlequin on Island X or Pacific Eider and Harlequin in the Aleutians. We have had only 4 hunters return in the past 6 year! and they all got there Trophy King Eider or Pacific Eider and Harlequin. we require a 50% deposit to confirm the hunt and the balance is due 30 days prior to hunt dates, we accept checks,cash or CC
